YouTube Review - Written Assignment

In this video we learn some essential functions of the camera and its various uses, such as how to balance shutter speed, which is the exposure time of a camera's shutter to light in a controlled amount of time. This is useful for making photos which feature silhouettes and other photos in which the shadows need to be controlled for the photo to turn out as intended. I also reviewed how one should use the ISO to measure how I should use the shutter speed and the aperture for the camera to have the the right exposure to both light and dark, and for the camera to turn out as focused and clear as possible or intended. The higher the ISO, the more it focuses on certain parts of the picture. With this very simple rule I can vastly improve how to take photos. The aperture is a setting in the camera which controls how much lights I will let into the picture. A larger f/stop number will let more light into the camera, while a smaller f/stop number will let less light in the picture. These three concepts (Aperture, ISO, and shutter speed) are essential to becoming a much better photographer and truly understanding how both use your camera and how to take quality pictures.
